Okay, so I am the first to admit that Thomas and I are a lot alike. We both doubt. I have not felt like I have been doing well the last few weeks but I weighed myself tonight and had actually lost 1 pound. Now, I can tell that I haven't done well because I should have lost more but to lose anything when I was convinced that I had gained is wonderful.
Just goes to show you that even when you don't believe God is still working!!
God Bless,
Karen

Good for you! I am forcing myself to only weight myself once a week - Wednesday is my day :)...and to also use the measuring tape, log in your measurements and weight weekly on SparkPeople..because it's not just about the pounds. As you exercise and fat turns to muscle, you might not 'see' pounds lost on the scale, but you are progressing. I thought I messed up last week and it turned out I lost 4 lbs! my weight loss blog is at www.weight-loser.blogspot.com and WEIGHT-LOSER is my ID on SparkPeople too. Come and visit sometime when you have time.
Darla,
Thank you for your encouragement. Since I am pretty new to "blogging" and I hear horror stories about people not being who they say they are I have been hesitant to comment back to you. I did look at your blog and sparkpeople page as well as your portrait page. You seem to be ligit : ^ )
Thanks for linking me on your blog as well. I have no idea how to do that so yours can appear on mine but I will try to figure it out.
In Christ,
Karen
Hi Karen...yep, I can send you my LinkedIn page if you want to know everywhere I've worked! haha!
It's good to be cautious. I have several blogs and I try to be as much "me" as I can, but I don't say where I'm going ahead of time (I will just blog about somewhere I've gone after I've been there)...I also never name my children, I just use nicknames for them. I also have my website(s) registered with my Post Office Box address, so nut-cases won't come after me! LOL! But overall it's been okay. I have to always remind myself to be vigilant, though - because I will tell everyone everything if I'm not careful!
The way you add links is to click on Dashboard, then click Layout, then there is a box for the right column that will read Edit (or something...I forget, it's such a habit for me now I don't have to think about it!) then a new box will open up with a bunch of options. Pick the one that is for Links.
If you have a minute to look at www.MySnellvilleBlog.com - it's a blog I set up on blogspot, and you can see how the basic layouts and colors can ALL be changed. It's really fun, sort of like scrapbooking...but see, I told you I can ramble on. I just like to encourage other people, because I know how it really helps me stay focused on my weight loss if I know people are 'checking up' on me from time to time!
